A double bill at Victoria’s Alix Goolden Hall had Victoria writer Dede Crane leading off with a reading from her new short story collection The Cult Of Quick Repair followed by award winning Winnipeg novelist Miriam Toews reading from her new novel The Flying Troutmans. Toews last novel A Complicated Kindness won the Governor-General’s Award.
